Authenticate in Bizagi Studio with a proxy

Summary

When a machine that has Studio installed and there is a proxy configuration for authentication, the product's web components are not rendered because  of lack of credentials. Authentication proxies force to filter all HTTP requests.
To enable integration with a proxy for authentication, supporting HTTP, follow the next steps.

Note: If the proxy is configured with Windows authentication, it is not necessary to enter the previous settings.

What you need to do?

1. Make sure Bizagi Studio is closed where the setting is going to be applied.

2. Open the folder of Bizagi Studios appsettings, usually located in the folder C:
C:\ProgramData\Bizagi\Enterprise\BizagiStudio\appsettings.xml

<add key = "proxyUrl" value = "172.22.192.161"> this key allows to configure the proxy URL, do not enter the complete url (http: // should not be added)
<add key = "proxyPort" value = "808" />  allows to configure the port used by the HTTP proxy
<add key = "proxyType" value = "HTTP" /> allows to add the type of proxy, necessary for some types of HTTP request. It is important to always add it with value in HTTP (as specified).
<add key = "proxyUser" value = "user" /> this key is part of the proxy credentials, corresponding to the user 
<add key = "proxyPass" value = "biz123" />  this key is part of the proxy credentials, corresponding to the password 

After the inclusion, you can start Bizagi Studio.

Important

The keys must be removed when the user wishes to use Studio without the proxy. Not removing them can cause problems when loading the web components.
The proxy must be enabled for HTTP connections, over ports other than 8080.
The proxy must be HTTP. Sock proxy is not supported.
Proxy configuration keys should only be used when you need to configure a proxy by authentication.
