Summary

When an end user logs to Bizagi Work Portal using Internet Explorer, after a short time the session expires. This issue is presented exclusively in IE due to Microsoft policies. It is necessary to change the server URL.

All Bizagi versions, for end users using IE.

Symptoms

1. When an end user working on IE performs any action in Bizagi Work Portal, this error message is shown: "Case session has already expired"

2. The URL of your Bizagi Work Portal has an underscore, e.g. http://Server/Project_name

Cause

Bizagi cannot keep a session active because IE does not set a session cookie for a domain with a hostname that contains an underscore (like _).

Solution

If the use of Internet Explorer is mandatory, connect to your project using the server IP address. Consider changing your server name by setting a DNS or by installation. Take this decision with your infrastructure team so the solution complies with your company policies.
