ERROR

Summary

When you are launching Sites Web or Sites Editor the Web page is showing you an access denied error.

Applies to

Bizagi 11.2.2 and above.

Symptoms

When trying to launch Sites Web or Sites Editor, from Bizagi Studio or just accessing from URL, the Web page is showing an access denied error (401 code).

Cause

This error is caused when there is a misconfiguration between Sites keys in Web.config file located in path [PROJECT_NAME]\WebApplication\Web.config and appsettings.json file located in path [PROJECT_NAME]\SitesApplication\appsettings.json.

Solution

The web.config and appsettings.json files need to have the same values keys. The keys with same values are:

  • From Web.config SitesMetadataOAuth2ClientId and SitesImagesOAuth2ClientId to appsettings.json BizagiMetadataClientId and BizagiImagesClientId.
  • From Web.config SitesMetadataOAuth2ClientSecret and SitesImagesOAuth2ClientSecret to appsettings.json BizagiMetadataClientSecret and BizagiImagesClientSecret.

In addition, the key SitesDataOAuth2RedirectUri, in the web.config file, needs to match with your sites and editor URL (keep in mind that it is case sensitive).
