Summary

There is an issue in the production environment, making the user unable to submit the task.

Applies to

Bizagi 10.x and 11.x

Symptoms

In the Work Portal, a failure sending mail is presented and the following error message and Log messages are thrown:

"Failure sending mail. Unable to write data to the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."  

Stack Trace:

   at System.Net.Sockets.NetworkStream.Write(Byte[] buffer

   at System.Net.Mime.EightBitStream.Write(Byte[] buffer

   at System.Net.Mime.BaseWriter.Flush(MultiAsyncResult multiResult)

   at System.Net.Mime.MimeMultiPart.Send(BaseWriter writer

   at System.Net.Mime.MimeMultiPart.Send(BaseWriter writer

   at System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.Send(MailMessage message)

NOTE: bear in mind that the error message is the same for this issue but the Log messages might be similar but not identical for other cases.

Cause

The origin of this problem is related to a SMTP server issue. There is a communication error with the mail server in the Cloud beucase the size limit for the attachments is exceeded and then, the connection fails. 


Solution

In the SMTP server of your choice, change/increase the mail attachment maximum size to 100 MB. This value is the recommended one but, if the configuration allows a higher value it might be necessary to use it in certain cases.
