Display Date fields without considering time zones

5 Years Ago

Bizagi displays the date fields with the corresponding dates according to the time zone configured by the application users. Thus, a user located in Tokio may see a date field with value December 15, 2015 10:00:00 and another user located in Washington could see the same field but with value December 14, 2015 20:00:00. This behavior allows the users to view the date and time adapted to their local time to be aware of the time events configured in the process.
Nevertheless, it is possible that some fields require to be displayed in a fixed date and time disregarding the time zone configured by the users. In this article, you can find an alternative to perform this.

Applies to

Bizagi Studio 10.7 and above

To accomplish this behavior use temporary string-type attributes within the forms where you need to display the dates statically, without being adapted to the users’ time zone.

1. Create a temporary attribute.
Refer to the following link for more information:

2. Replace the date field with the temporary attribute in all the Forms, wherever it is required.

3. Create a rule On Enter the activity where the date field value will be set to the temporary attribute. For example:

var dateToConvert = <Request.date>
<Request.date_String> = dateToConvert.ToString("dd-MM-yyyy");
