Summary

When sending files from Bizagi to a Web Service interface, the process stops due to the size of the file sent and the web service is not invoked.

Applies to

Bizagi Studio All Versions

Symptoms

Bizagi files are not uploaded from Bizagi when consuming an external web service.

Cause

This error is caused most likely because the time spent during the file upload procedure is used to create the log file (.svclog). When the log file creation is delayed, it may produce an undefined timeout issue which can stop the file uploading.

Solution

Follow the procedure below to improve the time taken during the file uploading process:

1. Open the web.config file located in the root folder (i.e, C:\Bizagi\Projects\[ProjectName]\WebApplicaton\web.config) of your web site using the text editor of your choice (i.e, Notepad).

2. Go to System.serviceModel segment and set false to the variables as it is shown in the next code:

<system.serviceModel>
 <diagnostics>
  <messageLogging logEntireMessage="false" logMalformedMessages="false"
        logMessagesAtServiceLevel="false" logMessagesAtTransportLevel="false"
        maxMessagesToLog="2147483647" maxSizeOfMessageToLog="2147483647"/>
 </diagnostics>
</system.serviceModel>
<system.diagnostics>
 <sources>
  <source name="System.ServiceModel.MessageLogging" switchValue="all">
   <listeners>
    <add name="traceListener"/>
   </listeners>
  </source>
 </sources>
 <trace autoflush="false"/>
 <sharedListeners>
  <add name="traceListener" type="BizAgi.Interop.SoapTrace.InterfaceTraceVersion02,
       BizAgi.Interop,Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null">
   <filter type="BizAgi.Interop.SoapTrace.InterfaceTraceVersion02Filter,
           BizAgi.Interop,Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null"/>
  </add>
 </sharedListeners>
</system.diagnostics>

Recommendation

Do not modify any other segment inside the XML file. When this change is performed, the .svclog file will not be registered and the process will be executed faster.
