Summary

When upgrading Bizagi Engine running on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, the update is not completed and the installer shows an error.

Symptoms

When running Bizagi Engine Installer, the installer does not finish and the following error is displayed:

Cause

This error is caused due to components incompatibilities of the OS and Bizagi.

Solution

There is a workaround to modify the properties of the installer. Follow the procedure below:

1. Right click on the Installation file (Bizagi .exe) and click Properties.

2. Click on the Compatibility tab.

3. Mark the checkbox Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3).

4. Click OK.

5. Run Bizagi Engine installation once again.

After the installation, it is strongly recommended to manually install the component Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable.
