Summary

This error is caused when a project is created using IIS Express and then, the Web Server is switched to Internet Information Server.

Symptoms

When the user tries to log into the Work Portal, the following message appears: 

HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error
The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid.

Cause

The WebApplication folder does not exist on the Internet Information Server.

Solution

To solve this issue, it is required to follow the third step Install and configure the Work Portal from the article Manual configuration of the operating environment in our Help Guide (See Related Links section).
