Symptoms

When trying to open a Bizagi project, the following error appears:

The local database must be removed, but the file C:\Users\[WindowsUer]\AppData\Local\Bizagi Group Ltd\Bizagi\OnPremise-[DBServer]-[DBName]-[DBName]-CatalogStorage-[GUID].mdf is locked, please remove it manually

Cause

This error appears when the local database is locked due to errors presented in Bizagi Studio and the process does not end properly.

Solution

• Open the Task Manager and check if exists another process under the node Bizagi Studio (xNN).
• Right click the additional process and click End Task.
• Then, re-open your Bizagi Project
